High School diploma or the equivalent is required. Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical engineering is preferred. In addition, a minimum of 4 years of directly related experience is required.
J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required.

This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Inspects parts, materials, assemblies and equipment to determine compliance to specified requirements
Performs product inspection
Performs real time defect evaluation
Prepares QA documentation
Verifies corrective action implementation
Performs housekeeping audits
Verifies implementation of rework
Generates and/or verifies traceability information
May uses photography equipment
May sets-up for electrical/mechanical tests using simple equipment
Interfaces with coworkers and internal customers and other departments
May have occasional contact with suppliers
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Considerable knowledge of electrical theory
Considerable knowledge of ESD control
Considerable knowledge of workmanship standards
Considerable knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Considerable knowledge of statistics and process control techniques
Considerable knowledge of operation of automated test equipment
Skilled in using PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Skilled in use of basic mechanical measurement tools
Interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills
Skilled in the set-up of basic electronic test configurations or mechanical test configurations
Skilled in use of multiple on-line systems for processing field return inspections
Skilled in use of the SCAN reporting system
Skilled in working directly with external customers
Skilled in resolving process issues
PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE: Candidate must have previous experience inspecting circuit cards, sub assemblies enclosures, systems and experience with field returns.
