Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical field is required (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.


Candidates must have at least 2 years of data modeling experience and experience with SAS, Python, R, or similar data programming language/environment.


Candidates with a Top Secret security clearance is preferred. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as HBase, MongoDB, Neo4J, etc.
  • Experience with or knowledge of distributed environments such as HDFS/Hadoop, Cloudera stack-Impala, Sqoop, Spark, etc.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Mathematical and Statistical Decision Support Models


Responsibilities for this Position

Data Modeler's  assist in the design and implementation of a large system development and integration effort using Agile Scrum methodology.  You will be part of a high-performing team, interfacing with other software engineers, systems engineer, information assurance engineers, test engineers, configuration management personnel, and other project team members. Data Modelers responsibilities also include enhancements, modifications and corrections to existing software. In addition, these employees are responsible for coding, testing, integrating and documenting software solutions, utilizing creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance.



 Additional Responsibilities

  • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance.
  • Assist in the design and development of processes to extract data from existing databases and merge with new additional data to load into Big Data platforms.
  • Make stored Big Data available in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in testing of decision support visualizations.
  • Assist in the amelioration of data quality issues.
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and validation of statistical, mathematical, and simulation models.
  • Apply agile software development methodologies such as Scrum in the performance of tasks.
