    • Travel may be required

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor's of Science or Technology degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.


    Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, applicants must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by EAR and ITAR, including U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents.


    Responsibilities for this Position

    Janteq is a growing and innovative division within General Dynamics Mission Systems. We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will be responsible for the Engineers at Janteq and will report to the Janteq Engineering Director.

    In the role you will be responsible for:

    • Managing people
    • Developing and tracking project schedules and budgets
    • Tracking both cost and schedule performance
    • Developing project plans
    • Tracking project risks and developing mitigation plans
    • Providing project status to both internal management and external customers
    • Developing project estimates and proposals - both cost and technical volumes
    • Ensuring the projects are following good engineering processes
    • Participating in continuous process improvement efforts
    • Frequent communication with Program Management and Engineering Leadership
    • Developing Technical Roadmaps
    • Performing employee performance reviews and making merit recommendations
    • Recruiting/interviewing potential new engineer candidates
    • Managing engineering headcount plans
    • Developing engineering development plans
